New Release: His Final Secret

The fight is nearly over. His reign of darkness is reaching its end.

The cure for magic has been discovered, and for Talon the truth of its source is more horrible than he could have imagined. Tormented by what he has learned and on the verge of falling from reason to madness, he leaves the Refinery more determined than ever to put an end to his tyranny once and for all.

Oz has led Eryn and their companions deep into the mountains, to a place long buried beneath the stone. They have a plan to set the Empire free, but first they must find a way to escape the relentless pursuit of General Spyne and his strange and silent hunter.

Battles will be fought, bonds will be broken, and his final secret will be revealed.

Get it here.

I don't usually write that much here to accompany my new releases. I tend to save most of my words for the INSIDE of my books. This is the final book in the Tears of Blood series, and I want to thank all of you who have read it through to the end. Writing ToB been an interesting journey for me. His Dark Empire was the third book I published, and after the success of the Divine series I thought I knew how to sell books.

I was completely wrong. The covers were okay, but not great. The blurb was weak. It has been a constant struggle to get readers to these books for the last two years. With the success of my other series, especially War Eternal, ToB became more a labor of love than anything else. I had a vision for the story from day one. I exactly knew where and how I wanted it to end. That doesn't happen often for me. Books change as I write them. They grow and mature as the pieces fall into their places. The endings shift, sometimes a little, sometimes completely. Not ToB.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be happy with the ending. It's bittersweet. Depending on your perspective, it may lean more towards the bitter side. It's the kind of ending I don't think a traditional publisher would have ever let make it into print.

But that's why I'm proud of these books, and this series. That's why I've invested in new covers for all of them, and spent hours tweaking the lead-in blurb in an effort to find more readers. I hope when you read His Final Secret, when you reach the end, that you either love it or hate it. A one-star or a five, with no in-between. I hope that you feel something when the curtain comes down, because I surely did. I hope the characters have become as real to you as they have to me.

Thank you again.
